New site and the link to news story last night

Well, we had a few little hiccups last night with moving to the new site, but everything as a whole worked out ok.  Next week should go much easier.  If you have problems with the audio on the hellcastradio site, then you can always come over here, press play on the talkshoe widget, and chat with us in the hellcast radio site.

That was fun...well sort of

That seance last night was fun.  We'll probably do it again next year, but I hope I just don't get sick again the week before so that I can plan it a little better (and actually be in the room with everyone).

Now, on to the other news:

We are moving to the Hellcast Radio Network

Redlar is basically doing everything we wanted to do when NowLive was shutting down.  They just did it better because we would have had to figure out all this stuff on our own.  We're still going to be on TalkShoe, so if you listen to our show as a podcast, you will still be able to get it there, on the iTunes store, the Zune Marketplace, or right here on the site, but the live shows will now be over at hellcastradio.com.

We won't be having our own chatroom anymore over here, and if you've been to the live show in the last two weeks, you'll know that's a good thing.

The last two weeks, we've been having a problem with a malicious ad popping up in our chat room client.  It pops up with a warning that you need to scan your computer for viruses and malware, and then even if you hit no, it hijacks the page, sends you to another, and proceeds to download a file.  This is an old scam.  They run a fake scan, tell you your computer is infected, and say "We'll clean it for you if you pay us $$$." 

I got so pissed about it last night that I shut down the chatroom, and told everyone to go over to hellcast.

No show last Friday

So, as you probably already figured out, we didn't do a show last Friday.  Kate was having a major migraine, and while Kate being sick doesn't usually stop us from doing a show, it was so bad that even having people in the other room would have put her in agony.

So we cancelled the show.

My appologies to everyone who showed up here, and I appologize to our podcast listeners for not having a show this week.

Kate was so messed up from her headache, that shortly after calling everyone to tell them we weren't doing a show this week, she slept for 11 hours.  When she woke up though, she was feeling much better.

We will be having a show this week though, so don't worry.  That's if anyone really reads this, or gives a shit.

Stressful Night

So tonight started off really bad.  About 30 minutes before the show, my modem got fried.  I think it was a cat, because the power supply plug smelled like piss.  With it being 8:30 our time, we had no way of getting a new modem until the next day.  So we were planning on not doing the show.  Well, about 20 minutes into show time, Kate noticed that the modem was lighting up again, so we had to scramble to get the showgoing again.  Stuart had the hardest time of it, because he packed up his gear when we thought we were going to have to cancel the show.

So, the first half of the show is a little scatter brained.  Then Lady K showed up, and we had to scramble to  get her a place to sit, and a mic for her.  Then once everything gets settled down, Anita accidentally pulls the network cable out of my computer.  I'm still not sure if I hit record on the second show, but if I did, there will be 2 shows for tonight.

If I didn't, it would really suck, because the second half is the best part of the show.
